Harrington Park, NJ school principal Scott Davies promised his 700 students that if they read 10,000 books in a school year, he'd do whatever they like. 4 months in and the kids had surpassed 10,000. The kids shaved the school's HP logo in his hair, dyed it blue, and had him sleep on the school's roof on a cold December night. Formerly of Montana, Davies knew about cold nights. Student and parents camped out, visited, offered hot coffee and cocoa and cheered when he came down he next morning, a little chilled, after making good on his promise and spending the night on the roof.
